Udupi, Mar 31: Abhijeet Sawant (38), a native of Thane, who had suffered critical injuries on March 2 8 when he tried to end his own life, lost his life on Wednesday March 30. He did not respond to efforts made to save his life.
Sawant, who was employed in a private firm at Manipal, was suffering from depression. He had tried to end life by jumping down from the fourth floor of Hotel Hill View, Manipal, on March 28. He was admitted into Manipal Hospital in an unconscious state.
On Wednesday, the condition of the man turned critical and he passed away. A case in this connection was registered in Manipal police station.
