HAL pays highest dividend of Rs 654 cr to centre

Bengaluru, Apr 5: Public sector undertaking HAL paid the second interim dividend of Rs 653.36 crore for the FY 2021-22 to the Government of India.

The dividend cheque was handed over to Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh by R Madhavan, CMD, HAL and CB Ananthakrishnan, Director (Finance), HAL in the presence of Dr Ajay Kumar, Defence Secretary in Delhi on Tuesday.

The Company had declared the second interim dividend of Rs 26/- per equity share of Rs 10/- each amounting to Rs 869.41 crore on February 10, 2022, in addition to the first interim dividend of Rs 14/- per equity share of Rs 10/- each amounting to Rs 468.14 crore earlier declared on November 11, 2021. The total dividend amounting to Rs 1337.55 crore, including Union Government’s share of Rs1005.17 crore.

“It is the highest dividend declared by the Company after listing of its shares on the Stock Exchange(s) and is more than what has been prescribed under DPE guidelines,’’ said R Madhavan.

Sanjay Jaju, AS (DP), Chandraker Bharti, JS (Aero), MoD and Alok Verma, Director (HR), HAL were also present on the occasion.

    why pay to center back ..setup with peoples money and hardwork so pay back to shareholders and employees !!!

    Forcibly pay to the government.... like RBI did it earlier. One fine dawn they will sell this company to meagre amount to private company and land to builders. Selling government land and building shows there is big hole in economy. Generally land is the last resort to sell after everything sold out for debit.
