Udupi: Brahmakumbhabhisheka held at Kannarpady Sri Jayadurgaparameshwari temple

Udupi, Apr 6: The Brahmakumbhabhisheka was held at Goddess Sri Jayadurgaparameshwari temple amid thousands of devotees in Kannarpady here on Wednesday, April 6.

All the religious rituals were performed under the guidance of Vedamurthy Puttur Sri Shreesha Tantry accompanied by other priests.

Sri Vidyavallabha Theertha Swamiji of Kaniyur math graced the occasion and took the darshana of Goddessi. He was welcomed by the committee and felicitated. Swamiji gave sandal prasada to the devotees.

Brahmakumbhabhisheka was held at 9.10 AM during Vrushabha lagna muhoortha today. This was followed by the Adyaganahoma and Mulamanthra homa.

As part of the community feeding, Palla pooje was performed by the tantry.

Thousands of participated in the annasantharpana.

All the arrangements were made systematically by the committee. Women's associations and other volunteers served the mid-meal to the devotees.

Krishnamurthy Acharya, former president, management committee and treasurer, renovation committee, N Muralidhar Ballal, president, renovation committee, T Sukumar, working president and retired engineer, PWD, Amritha Krishnamurthy, councillor, Gururaja Upadhyaya, temple priest, Sanjeeva A, general secretary, renovation committee, Dr Roshan Kumar Shetty, administrator, Sri Jayadurgaparameshwari Temple, Kannarpady, and all the members of the renovation committee and priests were presence.
