CM Bommai to visit Udupi on April 11 for a day: Kurma Rao

Udupi, Apr 6: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will be visiting Udupi on April 11 for a day to participate in various programmes.

Disclosing this to reporters after holding a preparatory meet here on Wednesday, deputy commissioner Kurma Rao said chief minister Bommai will visit Uchila Mahalakshmi Temple at 12 noon on April 11 followed by the inauguration of the Dr Bannanje Govindacharya Memorial Digital Library at 2.30 pm besides unveiling the statue of the late Sanskrit scholar and philosopher.

At 3.30 pm, the chief minister will inaugurate a KSRTC bus station at Bannanje and then participate in a public meeting. He will give away awards to bus drivers with an accident-free record.

Kurma Rao said he has directed all police officials and other officials to make all the necessary arrangements to ensure that adequate security is provided for the smooth conduct of the programmes.

Udupi MLA Raghupathy Bhat, Zilla Panchayat CEO Dr Naveen Bhat, SP Vishnuvardhan, assistant commissioner Veena and other officials were also present at the meeting.
