Kundapur, Apr 7: “In order to donate one needs lots of wealth. Though there are many people in our country with enormous wealth, many are not willing to donate. This is the tragedy of our country. For such people Vakwadi Praveen Kumar Shetty is a model,” said Halady Srinivas Shetty, MLA of Kundapur.

Halady was speaking at the free spectacles distribution programme that was organized under the joint auspices of Prasad Netralaya, Fortune Group of Hotel, Nethra Jyoti Charitable Trust and Carl Zeiss India, Bengaluru.

Speaking on the occasion, Dharmadarshi B Appana Hegde, who presided over the function said, “Praveen Kumar Shetty is conferred with the Rajyotsava award for his service oriented personality which is really apt. It is very rare to find people like him. Due to the good deeds of his parents Vakwadi village has got such a proud son.”

Vakwadi Praveen Shetty said, “I am indebted to the love and regards shown by the villagers of my native place, friends and well wishers during the felicitation programme that was held after I was conferred with the Rajyotsava award.”
