Puttur, Apr 8: A man of Gadag origin jumped from bridge on Netravati river near Uppinangady and killed himself on Thursday, April 7.

Bharamappa (31), resident of Rona in Gadag district is the person who ended his life. He was residing in a rented house at Saralikatte Moodadka of Thekkaru village. He was a daily wage labourer and addicted to liquor. He was a beneficiary of alcoholic anonymous camp of Dharmasthala.

On Thursday, deceased Bharamappa had gone to Uppinangady for some work and killed himself. A case in Uppinangady police station is registered in this connection as per the complaint filed by his wife.
