M'lore: Pilgrimage Holy Cross Proceeds to St Joseph Church, Vamanjoor

Mangalore, Feb 18: The pilgrimage Holy Cross that was venerated at St Lawrence church, Bondel was ceremoniously handed over to St Joseph the Worker parish, Vamanjoor, here on Thursday February 17.

 

  

     

  

 

Bondel parish priest Fr Anthony Serrao, Bondel parish council vice president Rudy Pinto, secretary Reginald D’Souza, Vamanjoor parish priest Fr Alphonse Cardoza, assistant parish priest Fr Jesudas Cardoza, Vamanjoor parish council vice president Roshan Kamath, secretary Benny D’Cunha, including a large gathering of parishioners were present on the occasion.
 
The pilgrimage Holy Cross was blessed by Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza at Rosario Cathedral on Sunday February 6 to commemorate 125th jubilee celebrations of Mangalore diocese.  Accordingly, the pilgrimage Holy Cross began its journey ceremoniously to Cordel parish, Shaktinagar parish, Kuloor parish, Bondel parish and now placed for veneration at the altar of Vamanjoor church.  The pilgrimage Holy Cross will be venerated in all the 158 parishes of diocese in a year.
