Kundapur, Feb 19: Srikant Mogaveera (18), son of Sarvottama, a resident of Halady Kattemakki in the taluk, died in a road accident that occurred on Friday February 18. Mogaveera, a first year student of the Kamath Industrial Training Institute at Koteshwar near here, was travelling in a bus, when a tipper hit the bus from behind near the diploma institute on a road bend in Hombady in the taluk.
Srikant lost his life on the spot. The ill-fated bus was moving towards Shimoga from the town. Because of the impact of the collision, three other bus passengers also suffered injuries. All of them are being treated in a hospital here.
A case has been registered in Kota police station. Investigation has been taken up.
