Mangalore, Feb 19: The Lions Club Valencia conducted a series of welfare activities in the month of January.
Republic Day was celebrated at St Joseph’s Primary School, Kankanady, with help of Lions Club of Valencia.
Lion Navinchandra D Suvarna donated a Aquaguard Water Purifier to St Joseph’s Higher PrimarySchool, Kankanady at the cost of Rs 7000/. It was inaugurated by our district governor Lion J K RAO.
Diabetic Awareness was conducted and medicines worth Rs. 5000/- was donated to the Little Sisters of the Poor Home, Bajjodi by the Club member Ln Richard Monteiro.
Lunch and dinner was served to the inmates of the Little Sisters of the Poor Home at the cost of Rs. 22,100/ which was sponsored by Ln Joseph Rego and Ln Leslie D’Souza. Governor Ln J K RAO, the PRO Ln Agnel Rodrigus, Ln John Vas, Ln Joseph Rego, Ln Leslie D’Souza, Ln Queenie Rego, Ln Lawrence Serao, Ln Richard Monteiro, Ln Mariette Vas and Ln Naveen Chandra Suvarna were present on the occasion.
