Mangalore, Feb 20: The Catechism Day celebration at Kulshekar here commenced with the holy Eucharistic mass followed by the cultural programme on values and message of Christ on Saturday February 19.
M P Noronha was the chief guest. Fr Valerian Pinto, parish priest presided. Other dignitaries on the stage included assistant parish priests Fr Arun Lobo and Fr John Moras, Praveen Patrao, the vice-president of parish council, superior of Bethany Convent, Kulsheker Sr Liza, secretary of Parish council George D’Souza, headmistress of Sacred Heart’s girls High school Sr Cicilia Mendonsa and Catechism programme coordinator Lynette.
Speaking on the occasion Noronha focused on living the Christ values and building up the strong Christian faith within us. Fr Valerian wished all students all the best and congratulated the parents for their efforts in training their children on the foundation of Christ values.
The students were presented with the token of appreciation for daily attendance, work book and standing excellent in catechism exams. Around 600 people were present for the progarmme. The event was compered by Roshni.
