Mangalore, Feb 23: Coastal Digest Chris Cairns XI will clash against DIX group DKCA Mangalore Warriors for the prestigious Maruti Suzuki Chris Cairns T20 cricket cup at the NMPT Cricket stadium, here on Friday, February 25.



 

Former Kiwi Captain Chris Cairns would lead his team of international cricket stars from Australia, New Zealand and England against the Dakshina Kannada Cricket Association groomed Mangalore Warriors, the pride of Dakshina Kannada cricket.
 
Costal digest is the franchisee of of Chris Cairns XI and the city’s shipping corporate Dix group are the owners of DKCA Mangalore Warriors, announced Joseph Rego, head, Chris Cairns foundation and Managing director of Global Sports and Celebrity Management Network.
 
Earlier, during the day Chris Cairns would conduct a cricket workshop for young and budding cricketer enthusiast.
 
The Maruti Suzuki Chris Cairns T20 cricket cup was unveiled by Dr Srikanth Rai, president DK Cricket Association.
 
The Chris Cairns Foundation aims to participate actively in the development of sports and charity projects in the city. The foundation has associated itself with Mangalore’s voluntary charity organization Round Table which is headed by Arjun Pinto. Round Table has been actively involved in supporting various charities and fund raising activities across the city.
 
The tickets have been priced Rs 100 for the match.
