Mangalore: MLA Derides State Government for Poor Performance

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Feb 24: “The BJP government in the state, which boasts of having completed 1,000 eventful days in office, has done nothing to benefit the people. The main job it has undertaken is to concoct bundles of lies and hoodwink the people into believing its tall claims,” said MLA, U T Khader. He was addressing a press conference here on Wednesday February 23.

“The achievements of the BJP government in the last 1,000 days are a big zero. The performance of a government can be measured by the extent the schemes implemented by the it reach the needy. The state government has miserably failed in this aspect. The state has risen to top the list of most corrupt states in the country, after the BJP came to power,” he criticized.

He pointed out that the government has not released funds for filling pot holes in the PWD roads. He said that the government is yet to release additional grants to the zilla and taluk panchayats. “The government has mired itself in big problems relating to distribution of ration cards and cooking gas distribution. Instead of helping the people, it has been creating problems for them,” he added.

Congress leaders from Ullal, Eshwar Ullal, Chandrahas Karkera, Padmanabh Naringana and Salim, were present at the press conference.
