Mangalore, Feb 24: Fudar Prathistana will organize a felicitation ceremony to honour the top scorers and rank holders in SSLC PUC, Degree and post graduation at the Diocesan level (Christian) at Milagres Hall, Mangalore on Sunday February 27, said L J Fernandez, general secretary of Fudar Prathistana.

Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza will preside over the programme. Corporate consultant Steven L D’Souza will be the keynote speaker. President of Catholic Sabha Walter Cyril Pinto will be the chief guest.

He said the object behind this move is to create awareness among Christian youths about the importance of higher education and to make knowledgeable of available facilities to them by the government. Youth have the potential to excel in every field and our duty is to encourage them, he added.

This year the number has crossed 150, and parents will also participate in the programme, he revealed.
