Mangalore: Retreat Commences at Holy Cross Church, Kulshekar

Mangalore, Feb 25: With the theme ‘Be one with my Father’, Fr Augustine Vallorran, director, Divine Retreat Centre, Potta and his team have began preaching the word of God at the Holy Cross Church, Cordel, Kulshekar on Friday February 26.

More than 3,000 people from various backgrounds belonging to different parishes have joined to praise the Lord and feel his presence.

At 11.00 am the Bishop of Mangalore Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza inaugurated the retreat. In his message he spoke about the effect of Word of God on common mans life. He congratulated Fr Vallorran for building a Chapel at Potta, exclusively for Konkani speaking people, which was inaugurated by Bishop.


 Earlier Br Joel Lasrado presented his preaching at 10.00 am. He is basically from Bejai, Mangalore and is preaching at potta for the last 18 years.

Br Vincent conducted the praise and worship session by singing and praising the Glory of Lord. Br Jude Goveas, Maria Sangeetha, Manisha Mathias, Santosh and Ajay accompanied the team.

The retreat will continue till Sunday evening, 5.00 pm. Fr Valerian Pinto the parish priest, Frs’ Arun Lobo and J B Moras as well as the Parish Pastoral Parishad have requested each and every one to join this retreat and to experience the touch of Lord Jesus.
