Mangalore, Feb 26: Within a day's gap after Rowdy Kabir was murdered by miscreants at Charavu of Gurupua, police have found the black Scorpio, which was used by the assailants to murder Kabir on Friday.

It was found deserted at Malemar in the outskirts of the city early this morning. The vehicle has been seized by Kavoor police, along with a sharp sickle, said DCP R Ramesh.

Mangalore City Police commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh has expressed confidence of nabbing the accused at the earliest.

Singh said that police have kept a vigil across the city police commissionerate limits in wake of the incident. “We have deployed additional police personnel in Gurupur, Kaikamba, Vamanjoor and other communally sensitive areas to avert any possible repercussion and have used KSRP and DAR men there,” he said.
