Moodbidri, Mar 3: Governor J K Rao of Lion district 324 D 5, on his recent official visit to Lions Club here, initiated various social welfare activities – leveling of Jyothi Nagar School playground, distribution of cupboards to Government Hospital and Belvai Government School, distribution of wheel chairs and artificial limbs to physically disabled, distribution of computers to Moodbidri main and region’s primary schools, distribution of fruits to the inmates of old age home, scholarships to poor talented students, water purifiers to various schools, free computer education by Preethi Academy of Graphics Education and free driving licenses by Manjushree Driving School, altogether worth Rs 1.4 lac.
Naveen Kumar presided over the stage programme. Rao released Lions ‘Simhavalokana’ bulletin on the same occasion.
Suresh P S proposed the vote of thanks while Vinay Kumar compered the programme.
