Beltangady, Mar 3: “Contemporary Indian culture and family background have been globally reckoned.  Social welfare and voluntary organizations active in the rural regions have the responsibility of grooming the future generation in order to sustain the contemporary Indian culture that has been threatened by the waves of modernity,” said D Hemavati V Heggade, wife of Dharmasthala Dharmadikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade.
 
Hemavati Heggade was the chief guest at the taluk ‘Jain Milan’, special meet, held at Ratnatraya Nivas, near Kanyady, on Wednesday March 2.
 
While explaining the virtues of spirituality and reality, she urged the people to organize religious celebrations – ‘Satsang’, ‘Bhajans’, and ‘puja’—to inspire the new generations to take an earnest interest in spirituality.  ‘Spiritual bliss will promote brotherhood, love for fellowmen, and communal harmony,” she added.

Hemavati also released an anthology of B Bhujabali and Shalini of Dharmasthala on ‘mantras’ useful for worshippers. ZP former member Rajashree S Hegde presided over the programme.
 
Vijaya Bank Mundaje branch manager Amaranath Prasad, SKDRDP zonal director Jeevandhar Kumar, Sonia Varma, and secretary Asha Dhananjay Kumar were present on the dais.
 
Various game competitions were held as part of the entertainment programme.
 
TP former member Ratnavarma Jain welcomed the gathering.  B Bhujabali read the objectives of Jain Milan.  Rajendra Azri proposed the vote of thanks.  Jain Milan director B Somashekar Shetty compered the programme.
