M'lore: Computer Engineering Association Launched at Bearys Institute of Technology

Mangalore, Mar 3: The knowledge campus of Bearys Institute of Technology [BIT], here witnessed the inauguration of Green Computing, the Computer Engineering Association.

The chief guests for the function, professor Waseem Ahmed, renowned educationist spoke about the importance of the environment and the advantages of association to students in terms of associating in learning the syllabus and understanding and exploring things outside the syllabus and serving the community at whatever the small way they could.

Guest of Honour and also the trustee of Bearys Academy of Learning Nasir Mohideen expressed that the green movement is very close to the heart of everyone in Bearys Group and it is overwhelming to see the young ones share the same passion. He also expressed his willingness to be of any support for the welfare of the students and the community. He also said being a part of such good cause association in the college help develop personal, leadership, logical and social skills of a student that will help them survive better in the real world. 

Professor Mustafa, HOD, dept of Computer Science, BIT, spoke elaborately about ‘Green Computing’,  and how one can reuse, reduce, recycle various computer resources which in turn, save the power and energy consumption thereby contributing for a healthy and safe environment.

Professor Sheik Mohidin, HOD, dept of Information Science, BIT, spoke about the future trends in computing world and the importance which the Computer Engineers play for the better tomorrow.
In the presiding speech, Dr S K Raikar, principal, BIT, asked the students to make the best use of the association and requested them to actively participate in the National and International green movements.
