Mangalore, Mar 4: In an accident that occurred near Jokatte Cross on national highway 17 on Thursday March 3, a person died, while another was seriously injured.
A tipper that moved backwards, hit a Muruti Omni vehicle that was following it. Irshad (22), and Ashfaque, both residents of Krishnapura Katipalla, who were inside the car, sustained serious injuries. Both of them were admitted into a private hospital in the city. However, Irshad breathed his last later in the hospital, without responding to treatments.
A case in this respect was registered in Panambur police station.
