Sr Jacintha Saldanha is new provincial superior, St Joseph's Province, Sisters of St Ann Providence


Mangaluru, Jun 5: Sr Charlotte Sequeira, the outgoing provincial superior of the Province of St Joseph, Western India handed over the mantle of leadership to Sr Jacintha Saldanha who will be in-charge of the province comprising of Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra states.

The team consists of Sr Jacintha Saldanha, provincial superior, Sr Lucia Kanta Salve, Sr Licy Mathew, Sr Sunitha Sequeira and Sr Betty Lobo.

The Sisters of St Ann of Providence which was founded by Carlo Tancredi and Giulia Colbert Marquis and Marchioness of Barolo in the year 1834 at Turin, Italy started spreading its roots all over the world. The Founders of the Congregation who dreamed to spread the wings of the mission, sent the missionary sisters to India in the year 1871. Having spread all over India through education and healing ministry, the sisters have contributed to the holistic development of the society.
