Mangaluru, Jun 7: Condolence meet on the death of former principal of Nazareth Central School, Sr Mariet D’Cunha was held recently.
The meet commenced with a prayer song by school choir. In order to earnestly seek the divine blessings of God Almighty verses from the Holy Books were read. The student representatives delivered prayer for various intentions. Sr Marceline D’Souza, FSM, principal and correspondent of the Nazareth Central School, Balmatta, along with other dignitaries by lighting the lamp and undoubtedly delivered the message to the parents and students by speaking about the sad and heart touching situation that the entire Nazareth fraternity faced. She said, “We joined our hands today in mourning over the void caused by our beloved late principal Sr Mariet D’Cunha, she left us suddenly. She loved us dearly and we know that. Let's find comfort in this, our condolences. No one wants to lose a loved one, the resulting emotion could tear one apart and is hard for every person. No words can take away the pain, we only say what we can.”
On behalf of the staff fraternity, Shalma Lobo, paid the loving and heartfelt tribute to the late Sr Mariet. All the parents with heavy hearts offer the flowers to the departed soul of Sr Mareit. Thansi, grade 9thA, faithfully delivered the vote of thanks. The function was convened by Sindhoora Holla of grade 8th. The meeting was coordinated by Precilla Veigas, and Sushma.
