Karkala, June 8: Karkala Nitte Kemmannu resident Jalaja Appu Poojarti (85) passed away at her residence on June 3 after a brief illness.

She has left behind five sons, two daughters, friends and relatives. One of her sons is Sadashiva C Poojary of C Poojary and consultants. He is the internal auditor and executive committee member of Charcop Kannadigara Balaga and Mother India free night school.
