Mangaluru: Gang enters house over trivial issue, assaults husband, outrages women's modesty

Mangaluru, Jun 11: A three men gang barged into the house of a woman, residing near Bitpaade mosque of Bondanthila village in the city on Thursday night and outraged her modesty. In addition, the intruders assaulted her husband also.

Mohammed Sinan, Mohammed Siyan and Mohammed Rafeez, all resident of Adyar Kannur are the accused who allegedly entered the house.

Sahida and her husband Nawaz had verbal spat with neigbour Nafiya over the issue of children cycling in the verandah. As the continuation of this matter, accused men, relatives of Nafiya, entered the house of Sahida at around 8.30 pm on June 9 and assaulted Nawaz, husband of Sahida. When Sahida tried to intervene, the men outraged her modesty. It is also alleged in the complaint that the gang also pulled and beat Zubaida, Sahida’s sister-in-law, who objected the behaviour of the attackers.

A case is registered in rural police station and further investigation is on.
