Bantwal: Suresh Kalkadka of 'Howdu Idu' passes away at age 63

Bantwal, Jul 13: Suresh Kalkadka, owner of Shilpa Watch Works in Kalkadka passed away on July 12 morning at his residence in Bondale.

He was 63. The ever-friendly Suresh Kalkadka was running Shilpa Watch Works in Kalkadka and enjoyed a camaraderie with people also because of his good sense of humour. He was also a good shuttle badminton player who had played at various district and state-level tournaments and had won many trophies. He had gained fame through the title 'Howdu Idu' and was a well-known social worker having worked actively with several agencies and non-governmental organisations.

Suresh Kalkadka is survived by his wife, two sons and daughters-in-law besides many of his relatives.

Dr Prabhakar Bhat Kalkadka, chairman of Vivekananda Vidya Vardhaka Sangha in Puttur, Bantwal MLA Rajesh Nayak, former minister B Ramanath Rai, former MLA Padmanabha Kotnadi, Rukmaiah Poojary and Sudhakar Acharya, chairman of Vishwakarma Samaj Seva Sangha have condoled the death of Suresh Kalkadka.
