Kundapur, Jul 19: “Manipal Arogya Card scheme, which began with the intention of providing quality health care to the public at reasonable rate is entering its 22nd year. By paying a small amount one can become a member. The money that is invested to buy the card can be got back in two or three times usage of the card in the form of reduction. The process of Manipal Arogya card registration for the year 2022 has begun. August 30 is the last day,” said Mohan Shetty, manager of KMC hospital Manipal.

Shetty was speaking at the press conference that was held at the Kundapur press club. He further said, “Under one year scheme Manipal Arogya Card 2022 costs Rs 300 for an individual, Rs 600 for family and Rs 750 for extended family. For two year scheme the rates are Rs 500, Rs 800 and Rs 950 respectively.

“A 50% discount is given for specialist or super specialist consultation in OPD, 30% discount in lab tests, 20% reduction in CT, MRI and Ultrasound tests. In OPD normal consultation reduction of 20% and 12% reduction in pharmacy is offered.

“For inpatient general ward excepting things that are used 25% discount and for Covid patients in general ward on the approved package of the government, 10% reduction is given.

“This scheme is applicable for card holders in coastal Karnataka and Goa Manipal Group of hospitals. This includes KMC Manipal, Dr T M A Pai hospital Udupi, Rotary hospital Karkala, KMC hospital Attavar and Ambedkar Circle Mangaluru, Durga Sanjivini Manipal hospital Kateel, Manipal hospital Goa, Manipal and Mangaluru and dental hospitals also.
