Bengaluru, Jul 19: Canada High Commissioner to India Cameroon MacKay called on Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai in Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru on Tuesday.

The Canadian High Commissioner led a delegation of Industrialists and Business leaders and held discussions with the Chief Minister and State Government officials.

Industries Department Additional Chief Secretary E V Ramana Reddy, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary N Manjunath Prasad and Industries Department Commissioner Gunjan Krishna were present.

The High level committee on stabilizing and improving the State Transport Undertakings headed by retired IAS officer M R Srinivasa Murthy submitted his report to the chief minister.

Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary N Manjunath Prasad, Secretary Jayaram Raipur, Transport Department Secretary Prasad, KSRTC Managing Director Anbukumar and other senior officials were present.

The Chief Minister later inaugurated the Karnataka Maratha Community Development Corporation and also launched its awareness campaign for the beneficiaries.

State Backward Classes Department and the Karnataka Maratha Community Development Corporation had organised the programme.

Gavipuram Sri Gosai Mahasamstana Jagadguru Vedantacharya Manjunath Bharati Swamy, former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, Ministers Dr C N Ashwath Narayan, Shashikala Jolle, Chief Minister’s Political Secretary M P Renukacharya, former Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi, Karnataka Maratha Community Development Corporation chairman Dr M G Mule and others participated in the programme.
