Mount Carmel Comitium Legion of Mary Shivamogga Diocese elects new office bearers

Shivamogga, Jul 24: The Mount Carmel Comitium of Legion of Mary of the Diocese of Shivamogga has  elected new office bearers at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shivamogga.

The programme began with a rosary and prayer. Vijayaratna Kumar, president of Mount Carmel Comitium of Diocese of Shivamogga led the program.

Legion of Mary Diocesan Spiritual director Fr Franklin D'Souza, parish priest of Our Lady Assumption Church, Hiriyur and Fr Stany D'Souza, parish priest of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shivamogga were present.

 

Fr Franklin D'Souza led the prayer before the election and explained importance of servant leadership. Then new leaders were elected.

New office bearers of Mount Carmel Comitium, Diocese of Shivamogga are president-Anthony Dias, vice president-Alphonse James, secretary-Vijayaratna Kumar and treasurer-Arokianathan.

The new office bearers took the oath and promised to carry forward the Legion of Mary mission with obedience and love.

Fr Stany D'Souza on behalf of the Diocese of Shivamogga congratulated the new office bearers and thanked outgoing office bearers.

Office bearers thanked and honoured Fr Stany D'Souza for his generosity and support for the programs of Legion of Mary.

The program concluded with a prayer.
