Mangaluru, July 27: Former district Youth Congress president Mithun Rai on Wednesday, July 27 urged the police to nab the culprits in the murder of Praveen and bring them to book within 24 hours. He also called upon the police to take stringent action against the killers.

He said youths should not lose their lives due to hatred. “Parents of youths have faith, sweat and sacrifice hidden in their upbringing."

He appealed to the youths not to fall prey to the provocative speeches made by politicians and instead lead a good life.

“Youths need politics but parents come on top of priority. Be it Deepak Poojary, Nazeer or Praveen, parents have only shed tears for their sons,” he said.

Mithun Rai said, “due to communal violence youths have lost their lives. Just before the elections such innocent youths are being murdered for political mileage. But, after the elections none of MLAs or ministers visit their house to see their family condition. What happens to their Hindutva ideology after the elections. Youths should stay away from hatred politics and not fall prey to provocative speeches as at the end of the day parents are bound to suffer throughout their life. Only Praveen’s family knows the pain and loss of his death. Youths should not claim others lives for cheap politics and political mileage.”

The former district youth Congress president said no one should assault youths irrespective of their party affiliation. “Innocent youths die but political parties gain mileage out of it,” he said.
