Mangaluru: Threat on life – Case filed against traffic head constable

Mangaluru, Sep 13: A private complaint is filed in court and a case is registered in Ullal police station, in which complainant of Karkala origin accused police of city west traffic police station of abusing and threatening to kill over land dispute.

Complainant Karunakara Poojary, resident of Karkala, had bought 0.71 acres of land from Indira at Kondana in Kotekar village. Indira and her children, who showed 21 links wide road in the map and assured Karunakara of making a road to his land, did not keep up their promise.

Later Karunkara Poojary cut three coconut trees in order to make approach road to the land he has purchased. Head constable Bhuvanesh Kumar, Son-in-law of the land owner who sold the land to Poojary objected the cutting of trees. He also called Karunkara Poojary and abused him and threatened to kill him.

Complainant Karunakar Poojary had filed a complaint in Ullal police station. As the police did not take action, he approached court and filed private complaint. Now the court has directed the Ullal police to register case against all four people involved.
