Mangaluru: Lifeless body of 8-month-old baby found - Murder suspected

Mangaluru, May 29: The lifeless body of about eight-month old infant was found on the banks Netravati River in the afternoon of Monday May 27. It is suspected that the infant was strangled to death.

The body is said to be that of Mounashree, daughter of Laxman Tenginahala and Roopa.

The infant’s parents, residents of Koppala, have been staying in Mfar Camp Shed at Bolar in city for the last fifteen days. There are construction workers.

There are injuries marks on the face of the infant.

Police have started investigations on suspicions that the dead body was thrown after killing.

Laxman who is employed as a daily wage construction worker in the city had not gone to work on Monday citing sickness. His wife Roopa had left the child at home and gone to work at about 8 am. Laxman told his wife later that he had gone out after putting the baby to sleep at 11.45 am and it was missing when he returned at 12.15 pm.

    So simple explains the father about his dead baby?No tears,no heartache,Absolutely no feelings?No search of a missing baby.?Where are we?He could have atleast when not wanted,give to adaption or to a orphanage .There atleast this poor baby would give some happiness to other couple or home.Heartless people.
