Mangaluru, Oct 19: Audiences globally are lauding the Kannada movie Kantara and are fascinated about the different scenes of Daivaradhane in the movie. But, the credit goes even to Mukesh Gandhakad who suggested different kinds of practices in Daivaradhane.

Speaking to Daijiworld Mukesh explained how the film team had worked tirelessly, following spirituality and embracing the divine power. He added that his team made arrangements for the attire of Daiva and suggested different practices of Daivaradhane in the movie.

The entire team worked with dedication and upheld the spirituality of Daivaradhane and it is irrespective of caste and religion that they have corporated in the shooting, he added.

Mukesh has been into Daivaradhane for the past 15 years. But, he has indulged in Daiva Kola at the age of 10. In the field of Daivradhane he has achieved fame in Tulunadu. So, the film team had approached him to know about the Daivaradhane.

Also, he reveals that the spiritual divine power has been made the movie reach the pinnacle of success. The entire film crew participated in the movie with devotion. Pure vegetarian food was consumed during the shooting. Rishab Shetty worked tirelessly with dedication from 6 pm to 6 am during the shooting process of Daivaradhane in the movie. He gave importance to time. He followed suggested spiritual rituals and practices of Daivaradhane sincerely.

Mukesh lauded Hombale Films for their treatment of the artistes. "There were 15 people in our team, Prakash, Mohan Bandale and Santhosh Nakre played a major role in designing the attire of Daiva and narating other practices," he added.

He also said Daivaradhane is a sensitive issue and it is the faith of the people and culture of Tuluvas . The people who have watched the movie should not disrespect it.

"The concept of Daivaradhane has reached worldwide through Kantara the movie. I am happy about it. My great salute goes out for this Kannada movie. Our culture has gained popularity worldwide. It is really a pride for Tuluvas. The film gained great popularity through the blessings of divine spirits," he said.

He also said that the film was made with great respect and divinity. Rishab Shetty sincerely followed the vows, he added.

Some miracles that happened during the film shoot cannot be explained through words, he said.

    As a kid I was not allowed to watch As a child I never got a chance to watch Booth Kola even if I wanted to. Now I am eagerly awaiting to watch the movie "Kanthara" to know the beautiful Tuluva culture and the divine faith of our people.

    Hats off to Rishab Shetty. Wonderful movie. It was a pleasure to watch on big screen. Though only heard of Kola and Daivaradhane but never had a opportunity to see them live being a Mangalorean. Best part was all were clapping at the end of movie.

    Very good movie! But i wished it showed representing the ST pambadha community as they're the only ones who are supposed to perform kola.
