Dubai, Nov 14: The fourth International Homeopathy Conference will be held at Swissotel Al Murooj, Dubai on November 20. The event comes after a gap of four long years and aims to gather like-minded intellectuals from the Homeopathic Fraternity globally to collaborate, exchange views and share their expertise as to how Homeopathy contributes towards the wellbeing of our societies, aiming to foster healthier and more productive communities.
Concurrently we also announce the 20th anniversary celebration and success of Homeopathy in the UAE aspiring the practitioners to promote wellness 'Together towards Tomorrow'.
The speakers for the conference are renowned Homeopathic practitioners Dr Saptarshi Banerjee from Kolkata and professor Dr Mansoor Ali from Kozhikode, Kerala who would be highlighting the scope of Homeopathy in Dermatology.
Homeopathic practitioners numbering close to 250 doctors representing all the Emirates of UAE and India would be participating in this conference.
It was in February 2002 that the first selection of practitioners was done in Abu Dhabi by the Ministry of Health and Homeopathy was legally regulated into the Health care department of UAE. Today most of the Medical centres have Homeopathy incorporated in their facilities.
Homeopathy is a German system of Alternative medicine based on the principle of 'Similia Similibus Curantur' or 'Likes cure likes'. It is one of the systems of alternative and traditional systems of medicine in the AYUSH system of India.
According to the World Health Organization; Homeopathy is the second largest system of medicine followed and is widely accepted all over the world and has been so, for more than 200 years. A scientific system of therapeutics based on a person centric holistic approach. It treats the person as a whole; and in the process addresses the root cause of the disease and associated symptom. Homeopathy does not treat a disease alone but treats the “Man in the disease”. A homeopath not only gives importance to the disease diagnosis but looks beyond this and tries to find the person engulfed with the illness.
"The practitioner takes detailing of each symptom like the type, nature, frequency and intensity of the ailment and will get into finer details like change in thirst, appetite, bowel habits and any specific craving and aversion and pays attention to your emotional state, sensations and reactive pattern during the illness.
Homeopathy not only applies an individual approach to each of its patients but also plays a significant role as a prophylaxis and can protect one from all seasonal allergies, viral infections and many other such diseases helping to stimulate one’s defence mechanism and strengthen one’s immunity and assist the body to heal naturally.
Homeopathy is considered as one of the safest medicine with minimal side effects, easy to administer, caters to all age groups and can be safely administered during pregnancy and lactation. Moreover it can be used alongside with the conventional medicines and can serve as a best companion in ones journey towards wellness helping one achieve personal health goals.
