Mangaluru cooker blast accused shifted to Bengaluru for further treatment

Mangaluru, Dec 17: The cooker blast accused, Mohammad Shariq was shifted to Bengaluru as per the recommendation of the hospital doctors and authorities.

He was shifted to Bengaluru Victoria hospital at 6 am on Saturday December 17.

It may be recalled, the cooker blast incident took place on November 19 at Naguri here. The police department declared it an act of terror. The probe showed that Shariq, a suspected terrorist from the state, was planning to carry out an explosion at the chief minister’s function. When it failed, he was carrying the explosive to get it blasted at a children fest.

An unknown terrorist outfit claimed responsibility for the act and warned that it will not fail next time.
