Udupi, Jan 11: The Hebbar Gallery and Art Centre (HGAC) will be hosting a musical performance and conversation with The Aahvaan Project on Friday, January 13 at 6 pm at the Gangubai Hangal Auditorium at the Manipal Centre for Humanities.
The Aahvaan Project inspires conversations through storytelling and folk music exploring the relevance of the nirgun philosophy in our modern lives both linguistically and in terms of sound. Through workshops and performances, Aahvaan has created safe spaces with a wide range of communities, educational institutions and art spaces.
Based out of New Delhi, the Aahvaan Project is a duo of artists - Vedi Sinha and Sumant Blakrishnan. Vedi is a writer, storyteller, vocalist and performer. She began the Aahvaan Project in 2016. Sumant is an award-winning guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. He is actively involved in creating projects and spaces that push the boundaries of independent music in India.
Entry will be free and open to all. Wearing a COVID appropriate face mask is strongly advised.
