Dubai, June 14 (PTI) Large-scale projects are underway that will push up Saudi Arabia's overall petrochemicals production capacity to 100 million tonnes per annum (TPA) by 2015, organisers of a leading industry event have said.
A recent BMI report further revealed that Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic) alone is seeking to triple the total global output of all its petrochemical products to 130 million TPA by 2020, including up to 20 million TPA of polymers.
Saudi Arabia is slated to host Saudi Plastics & Petrochem 2011, the 10th International Plastics and Petrochemicals Trade Fair, later this year. The exhibition will showcase brand-new products, services and concepts and complements the robust growth outlook of the country's petrochemical industry.
Saudi Plastics & Petrochem 2011 will run from November 28 to December 1 in Riyadh.
