Beltangady, Jun 5: The department of MCom at Sacred Heart College successfully conducted the commerce and management fest, BRIDGECOIN 2024, on June 3, specifically for the final year BCom students. The fest featured four major events: finance, marketing, allrounder, and best management team.
The inaugural ceremony took place at the MCom premises, with Prof Alex Ivan Sequeira, the principal of the college, presiding over the function. In his presidential remarks, he praised the notable achievements of the MCom department and highlighted the various opportunities available for BCom students within the department. He also congratulated the MCom students for their efforts in organizing the fest.
The event was graced by Prof Paul Menezes, the retired selection grade librarian, as the chief guest. He was felicitated for his contributions upon attaining superannuation and shared insights about various career opportunities available for commerce students. Prof Menezes expressed his gratitude towards the MCom department for the felicitation.
Reena Jennifer, the guest of honour and a proud rank holder in the MCom examination, was also felicitated for her academic achievement. In her speech, she expressed her gratitude towards the college lecturers for their unwavering support.
Rishel Miranda and Bavil Robin, the student coordinators, welcomed the gathering and proposed the vote of thanks, respectively. Risha, a previous MCom student, served as the emcee for the event. Nelson Monis, the coordinator of the MCom department, delivered the introductory remarks. Additionally, Tejashree Shetty and Saurava Gowda, the student coordinators, were present on the dais.
The fest included a variety of activities across the different events, with MCom students displaying great enthusiasm and dedication in organizing them. The participants appreciated the fest, and prizes along with certificates were distributed during the prize distribution ceremony. The event was well-received by all attendees.
