Udupi, June 12: Ashwin Sanil, a resident of Katpady has been recognised for his participation in international sporting events by home minister Dr G Parameshwara.
Sanil has won several awards in national and state-level sports competitions and is working as a firefighter and emergency service personnel.
Recently, he participated in the firefighter’s personnel 100 meter race at Gujarat in which he bagged the gold medal and has been selected to participate in the 15th international firefighters and emergency service personnel sports competition at Denmark.
Recognising his achievement in the field of sports, he was recognised and felicitated by Dr G Parameshwara, Home Minister of Karnataka, along with other achievers of home guards, civil defence and Karnataka state disaster response force at R A Mundkur Fire and Emergency Service Academy, Bengaluru.
