Mangaluru, Jun 17: The alumni meet ‘Ex-Milan 2024’ was organized at Expert P U College, Valachil. The Expertians pursuing their professional courses all over India turned up at their alma mater to participate in the programme which was a homecoming for them and a walk down the memory lane.

Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman, Expert Group of Institutions expressed his extreme delight on meeting the alumni and knowing their success in the chosen fields. He reminded them to adhere to the values imparted at Expert such as discipline and hard work.

Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice-chairperson, Expert Group of Institutions remarked that it is a pleasure to witness the growth of the alumni and advised them to involve in community outreach activities under the banner of Expert Alumni Association. She assured them support required in this regard.

Shashank Lokesh, an alumnus and chief product officer, Seminar room Education Private Ltd was the chief guest for the occasion and he shared his career journeys and memorable days spent at Expert. He opined that even failure can lead us to better opportunities and a good spark in life can change one’s life.

Ankush N Nayak, director, Information Technology, Expert Group of Institutions had a presentation on Enhancing Alumni Engagement, some of the notable achievements of alumni, Alumni Portal and its features.

Deepika A Nayak, architect, Dr N K Vijayan, principal; Subramanya Udupa, vice-principal (Academics); Raghavendra Shenoy, vice-principal (Admin) and members of the staff were present.

Navami, general secretary of the Expert Alumni Association accorded a cordial welcome to the gathering, Ambika K P, faculty of English Department hosted the programme and Anitha P Shetty from the Dept of English proposed the vote of thanks.
