Udupi: 25th house handover ceremony held by Samana Manaska team

Udupi, Sep 2: The 25th house handover ceremony organized by the Samana Manaska team was held in Kukkehalli for a needy woman Lakshmi, on September 1.

Dr Santosh Hegde, Retired Lokayukta, handed over the 25th house and spoke of the event’s significance, calling it a beautiful and meaningful initiative. He emphasized that such programs help foster valuable humanistic values in society. He encouraged the continuation of such efforts, stating that true humanity is achieved by embracing human values in one’s life.

Shashidhar Purohit Katpadi, the team leader, mentioned, “The team was initially formed to construct houses in Garadi, with the first house completed there. The 25th house was handed over in Kukkehalli. He noted that three more houses are currently under construction. The team has been successfully raising funds and resources for these projects through a WhatsApp group, involving 50-60 people in each group, getting donations in the form of money and material. About approximately Rs 2.5 crore has been spent on building these 25 houses, all made possible by the generosity of donors.”

On this occasion Madhav Acharya Puttur, Rajagopal Acharya Koteshwar, Upendra Acharya Perdoor, Raghavendra Acharya Kota, Purandara Kotian Kukkehalli, Prakash Acharya Karkala, Satish Rao Mangalore, and others were present.
