Puttur, Sep 21: The girls team from St Philomena P U College bagged the runners-up trophy in the taluk level volleyball tournament, held at Narendra P U College, Tenkila, Puttur on September 20.

With this win, 3 girls (Preethika, Deekshith and Shreyashree) are qualified for the district level volleyball tournament to be held at Mundaje, Beltangady. Deekshitha (II HEPS) received the all-rounder trophy.

The team's success is attributed to the expert guidance of physical education directors, Elias Pinto and Rajesh Mooliya.
