MP Capt Brijesh Chowta appointed to parliamentary standing committee on energy

Mangaluru, Oct 7: Capt Brijesh Chowta, the Member of Parliament representing Dakshina Kannada, has been appointed to the parliamentary standing committee on energy, which oversees the ministry of power and the ministry of new and renewable energy.

In his role, Capt Chowta will review and oversee energy policies, examine legislation related to the energy sector, and monitor energy production, distribution, and consumption. He will also focus on promoting renewable energy sources and sustainable development.

The committee's first meeting is scheduled for October 7.
