Moodbidri, Nov 2: Students from Carmel School visited Leksa Lighting Industry as part of an educational field trip. The visit provided an insightful experience into the world of lighting technology and manufacturing processes.
Upon arrival, they were welcomed with a captivating demonstration of various types of lights, including laser lights, floodlights, and stage lights, all synchronized to the patriotic song ‘Vande Mataram.’ This gave students a firsthand understanding of the application of lighting in different settings.
The students were then divided into two groups, each receiving a guided tour of the different stages of light manufacturing. The experts explained the process of assembling various components, showcasing the intricate steps involved in the production of high-quality lighting solutions. The tour also included demonstrations of various testing procedures, such as waterproof testing, ensuring that the products meet industry standards. Additionally, the company exhibited their power coating techniques used to enhance the durability of the lights.
Leksa Lighting Industry further impressed the students by sharing their global reach, discussing the numerous projects they have undertaken worldwide. They proudly highlighted their achievements and the awards they have received for their innovation and excellence in the field of lighting.
This visit provided valuable insights into the practical aspects of manufacturing and technology, offering students a deeper appreciation of industrial operations and the application of skills learned in the classroom.
After the visit to Leksa Lighting Industry, the students proceeded to the Modern Kitchen Industry. They were divided into six smaller groups, each accompanied by a guide. The guides provided an in-depth explanation of the manufacturing process of various potato-based products, including potato chips. The students observed the entire production process, from raw materials to packaging, offering them a hands-on learning experience.
At the end of the tour, the company generously distributed a full bag of their products to each participant, allowing the students to sample the variety of snacks produced by the industry.
Following this, the group visited the Green Spoon Hotel for lunch, where everyone enjoyed a delicious and satisfying meal. Afterward, they continued their journey to Kadri Park. The students had a wonderful time playing in the park and enjoying the recreational activities available. A highlight of the visit was the train ride, which added an element of fun and excitement to the day.
The day concluded with a safe journey back to Moodbidri, marking the end of a highly informative and enjoyable field trip.
