Popular Kannada, Tamil television actress Nandini dies by suicide

Bengaluru, Dec 30: Television actress Nandini, who had acted in several Kannada and Tamil serials, died by suicide at Mylasandra under the jurisdiction of Kengeri police station in Bengaluru.

Nandini C M, a native of Kottur in Ballari district, was residing in Bengaluru. She had gained recognition for her supporting roles in popular Kannada serials such as Jeeva Hoovagide, Sangharsha, Madhu Magalu and Neenade Naa.

Apart from Kannada television, she was also active in Tamil serials and played a dual role as Kanaka and Durga in the Tamil serial Gowri.

The reason for her death is yet to be ascertained. After post-mortem examination, the body was handed over to her family.

Nandini’s father, a government school teacher, had passed away three years ago. Following his death, family members had reportedly urged her to take up his job, though she was said to be uninterested in a teaching career.

She was also reportedly suffering from health-related issues and is said to have left behind a death note.

A case of unnatural death has been registered at Kengeri police station.
