New Delhi, Mar 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that India has undergone a major transformation across sectors and is now progressing on a fast-track development path, with tangible results visible on the ground.
Addressing an event in the capital, Modi highlighted the rapid expansion of infrastructure, noting that the country now has over 160 airports—an indicator of accelerated growth. He remarked that while development plans existed earlier, the key difference today lies in their effective execution and visible outcomes.

“The pace of development has significantly increased, and the country has moved from slow execution to fast-track growth,” he said, adding that government resolutions are now translating into concrete achievements, projecting the vision of a “New India” to the world.
The Prime Minister also emphasized that India has sustained its growth momentum despite global uncertainties, including ongoing conflicts. He pointed out that several key decisions have been taken in the past few weeks, reflecting the government’s proactive approach even in challenging circumstances.
Earlier in the day, while addressing the Lok Sabha on the West Asia crisis, Modi said India has taken steps to strengthen energy security. He revealed that the country currently maintains a strategic petroleum reserve of over 53 lakh metric tonnes and is planning to expand it by an additional 65 lakh metric tonnes.
He further noted that India has significantly diversified its sources of energy imports over the past decade, helping it better withstand global supply disruptions and maintain steady progress.
