Dubai, Apr 12 (IANS): Dubai will host an international investment meet next month to help connect foreign investors seeking new destinations with fast growing economies.
Participants from 45 countries will attend the second Annual Investment Meeting May 1-3.
Foreign Trade Minister Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qassimi said Wednesday the event will bring together foreign investors and decision-makers from emerging markets with a view to achieve sustainable capital inflows.
"The UAE has attracted 220 billion dirhams ($60 billion) during the past five years," Xinhua quoted her as saying at a press conference Wednesday.
A great addition to the event this year is the China-Arab Industrial and Leadership Forum which is an initiative designed to enhance partnership between China and the Gulf Cooperation Council, the minister added.
