Mangalore : Accident Victim Jossy D'Souza (22) Battles for Life - Please Help

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore

Mangalore, Sep 12 : 22-year-old Jossy D'Souza, a native of Vittal who suffered sever injuries after meeting with an accident is battling for his life. The family has exhausted the money they saved for their future, having spent all on his treatment.

A breadwinner for his mother Pushpa Menezes, Jossy has been admitted to High Land hospital in Falnir, and already nearly Rs 5 lac has been on his treatment and medicines.

On a fateful day, at Vittal on August 6 last month Jossy who was riding pillion fell off the bike after the rear tyre burst. Unfortunately another bike which was coming behind ran over him, causing him severe injuries, said the family to daijiworld.

Jossy's father separated from Pushpa 20 years ago, and the mother and the son have been living in Vittal ever since. Jossy was in Dubai for a year, but had to leave because of a poor job.

Last four months, Jossy was jobless and staying with his mother in Vittal. Daijiworld has learnt that Pushpa's sister based in Gulf supported them to the maximum, not only their livelihood, but the education of the son, and even medicines. As the situation has gone beyond control, the family has no other way than seeking help from people.

According to the doctors who are treating him, his liver, kidneys and lungs have got damaged and infected. Doctors are doing dialysis on a daily basis. He has undergone multiple operations for the injuries.

About another Rs 5 lac is expected to be spent on his treatment to bring him back to normal, it is learnt from doctors, as he requires sensitive treatment which is not available at cheaper rate.

The family has requested daijiworld to put forward this appeal to its readers. For verification, Vittal parish priest or parishioners can be referred.

It is really unfortunate. As per my knowledge this is a genuine and deserving case. My heart goes out to the family but just sympathy is not enough in this case. I strongly appeal to philanthropists and kind hearted people to contribute generously to this noble cause. I am sure god will bless you for your kind gesture.
