Rain during the last three days creates havoc in Kasargod

Kasargod, Aug 7: The incessant rain during the last three days in Kasargod has thrown life out of gear.

Low lying areas are filled with water. Roads have vanished. Several houses are damaged. Several lacs rupees worth of agriculture is destroyed. The rainfall has increased after Monday afternoon.

The weather forecast predicts increased rain and wind during the next two days.

Large potholes can be seen on the highway between Kasargod and Mangalore obstructing traffic. Farmers have incurred huge losses. There is a fear of landslides and people staying near the seashores are scared.
