Mangalore, Mar 11: The Karnataka Konkani Writers’ Forum and Samanvaya in collaboration with Asha Kiran Trust Mangalore and Lotus of Nirala Trust Moodbidri organized a felicitation and interaction programme on Sunday.
The event was held in the Samanvaya Hall, Urva and was participated by several Konkani writers.
A talk on ‘Konkani Society and Literature in the Present Era' by Konkani writer and professor of Mysore University Edward Noronha was organized. This was followed by an interaction progamme with the young and old Konkani writers.
Three writers were honoured on the occasion - Judith Mascarenhas, Victor Rodrigues and Shirtady William Pinto.
Dr Edward Nazareth of the Karnataka Konkani Writers’ Forum, Fr Puis Fedelis Pinto of Samanvaya, Fr Rony Cutinho, director of Samanvaya and Dolphy Cascia were present on the occasion.
