Mumbai, Jun 22: Actor Salman Khan whose recent hearing on the 2008 hit and run case did not go in his favour has another legal trouble dawning in the horizon with the producer of his movie 'Veer' has slapped a defamation suit on the actor.

Vijay Galani who is the producer of Veer, has claimed that the actor had harassed him with non-payment of his fees for the film. The deal between the two is said to have been that Salman would be pais Rs 15 crores if the movie was a hit at the box office and an initial payment of Rs 10 crores was made to the actor by the producer. Since the movie did not do as well as expected at the box office, the producer was not obliged to pay the actor an additional Rs. 5 crores.

Salman is said to have asked for a received a copy of their agreement from Galani, about three months after the release and subsequent flop of the movie. He is said to have approached CINTAA (Cine and TV Artists Association) to get Galani to pay him the additional Rs. 5 crores, but CINTAA gave a ruling that favoured the producer.

Soon after Salman approached Federation of Western India Cine Association, and he got a non-co-operation letter against Galani. In a fitting reply Galani approached the Producers Guilt, which is headed by Mukesh Bhatt. Mukesh Bhatt apparently sent a stern letter to the Federation of Western India Cine Association, saying that their letter against Galani was not valid.
And now the Producer has sued the actor to the tune of a whooping Rs. 250 crore rupees.
