Sharjah: United Cup volleyball, throwball event for cancer cause on Dec 2

Sharjah, Nov 11: 306 Events will be hosting its first annual United Cup '15, comprising volleyball and throwball tournaments, for a noble cause on December 2 from 8 am to 6 pm at Wanderers Sports Club, Sharjah.

The sports event is being held in support of fight against cancer. "Our interest in fighting cancer is very personal, as one of our very own brother’s father is a survivor, for which 306 Event caregivers have been through some tough situations. We have far too many friends that have been touched by cancer, as well. We are committed to taking a stand against cancer and plan on doing this by hosting volleyball tournament for men and throwball tournament for men and women during the day followed by an evening of music, fun and prizes," said the organizers.

The first annual tournament gets underway on December 2.

The organizers have welcomed players and fans of all ages to cheer up their respective teams throughout the day to help them secure this very first edition of United Cup '15.

Events: Men's volleyball, men's throwball, women's throwball and mixed throwball

First and second place winners will get trophies and cash prizes.

Registration as per first-come-first-serve basis.
